Bird identification window clings for kids

February 15, 2013

A few weeks ago, we visited our local bird store and asked the experts what they would recommend for some young  beginning bird-enthusiasts. The first thing they pointed us to was this set of Birds iView Window Clings.

They are some of the most common backyard birds and it has the names printed under them. The girls love them and I have to say, they help me, too!

We started with all of them on the left hand side of the window and every time we identify one in our backyard, we move it to the right hand side. So far, we've seen 15 different kinds! I think that is pretty amazing.

This paired with our Georgia bird guide is what we use to help us figure out what we are seeing.

Birds iView Window Clings--This is the eastern backyard bird version--I'm not sure if there is a Western version, but I'm sure your local bird store experts could help you out. :)

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

You can read about other bird books and activities we love here. I also have a "for the birds" pinterest board here
