Ben brought the girls these sweet bird finger puppets from a recent Compassion trip to Ecuador.
I thought I'd share a few bird books with you today:
Feathers for Lunch by Lois Ehlert--Perfect for toddlers as well as older children--this has a lot of information about backyard birds in a really child-accessible format.
The Ugly Duckling (Jerry Pinkney) A classic that we have only just gotten around to reading! I think it's a good springboard for discussions about so many topics for this age group.
No One Noticed Ralph by Bonnie Bishop (illustrated by Jack Kent) We've enjoyed this one for a long time (way before Juliet could read on her own), but if you have a beginning reader, she may be able to read this one on her own! (Plus, it's a talking parrot, so that is always fun.)
What are your favorite bird stories?
