Star garland

December 27, 2012

I found some sparkly gold scrapbook paper at Michaels and decided to make a new year's garland out of it.

I just printed some star templates in three sizes and then cut out a bunch of stars.

After I had a good pile going, I just started hot gluing them onto a piece of ribbon.

Now, it's hanging in our kitchen window--ready to welcome in the new year!

This book does not have anything to do with stars, but it does take place during a new Year's celebration. The Umbrella Queen is one of my very favorite children's books.

Have you read it? Do you have any other New Year's books to recommend to us?
