I've written this post a thousand times in my head over the past several days and then stopped and rewritten it over and over again.
I apologize for my silence here; it has not been indifference that has kept me from writing, but rather my deep sadness for what has occurred.
To the families of the victims, I am so sorry for your loss. The English language fails miserably in situations like this--there is no word that describes how I really feel for you and for your children.
I want you to know that I mourn their loss and their untimely departure from this world and from your arms.
I also celebrate their lives, your memories of them, and all the joy their smiling faces brought to you when they were here.
Again, from the bottom of my heart, I am so sorry for your loss.
I pray your hearts find comfort and peace and joy once more.
