As I was making my bed this morning, I noticed this dollhouse vanity under the sheets.
Juliet was standing next to me, so I asked her, "What is this doing in my bed?"
"I guess I lost it in the covers during nap time yesterday," she replied.
"So did I sleep with that in my bed?" I wondered aloud.
"I guess you're not like the princess and the pea." she informed me.
"What?" I asked.
"Since you couldn't feel it in your bed." she explained.
Have I mentioned before how bad of an idea it is to read with your kids? :)
Speaking of the princess and the pea, here are some that we enjoy:
The Barefoot Book Of Princesses
has a lovely version.
Don't Read This Book!
always makes Juliet giggle.
Princess and the Pea
I have a thing for little golden books....
The Princess and the Pea
I haven't read this one yet, but I love Rachel Isadora's version of The Twelve Dancing Princesses
.

The Princess and the Pea: A Pop-Up Book This is another one on my wishlist--I love pop ups and this one looks beautiful.

Sleepy Princess and the Pea
is one of Juliet's favorite games. She even likes playing with it by herself--which makes it an extra good game, in my opinion. :)
There are so many beautiful princess and the pea inspired crafts, toys, art, photo-shoots, etc...--do you have a project or book or favorite image to share? Leave a comment or link for me to check out!

I think maybe that by the time a princess becomes a queen she is so exhausted, she doesn't mind a few small peas (or people) in the bed. :)
