Sorry for not posting yesterday--Lucia's been extremely feverish the past two days and tending to a sick baby has consumed all my time. She is sleeping right now, so I thought I'd jump on and share some photos of a beautiful book I discovered earlier this month.
My parents' local library has a lot of old books. Like really old--the ones I get excited about.
This old copy of Noah's Ark by Miche Wynants was just calling out to me.
It alternates between black white and color illustrations. I can't decide which I like better.
This goes into my "I want to rip out the pages and frame it as art" category.
All the animals get on the ark--two by two...
Even the insects--which as a general rule, I am not a big fan of, but here, I kind of like them.
This inspires me to some sort of paper collage activity--the ocean is gorgeous.
I returned this one with great reluctance! It's on my list of ones I hope to find at Goodwill or at a library sale one day.
