things I'm excited about today

September 2, 2011

Holly from Life as a Thrifter has done it again--she's created the most awesome playhouse ever out of her daughter's carseat box. Seriously. You have to take a look--here.
The Magic of Everyday Things
She used a copy of The Magic of Everyday Things by Seymour Reit to wallpaper the inside. It's stunning.
Listening for Sounds 1965
When I first saw it, I thought it was part of the Britannica's Pre-School Library First Adventures Series. (I have the Listening for Sounds book from the series). But after doing some searching, it seems like it is from a different series. But it looks very similar. You can see more images from inside the book here.
Speaking of playhouses, have you checked out the first edition of Play Grow Learn? Christie has put together some amazing resources for play-based learning. I'm learning so much! (There's also an article in it that I wrote about how we play with maps at our house.)

And speaking of Christie, did you see her book cover bunting tutorial? So clever.

And lastly, I wanted to let you know that the Alice in Wonderland Tea Kits are now on sale for $24.99 for the month of September. You can read more details here.

I hope you have a great weekend! If you have a spare moment, I'd love a vote for my blog in the Parents blog award contest. So far, 11 people love me. :)
