best online recipes

As good as I am with coming up with books to read and fun crafts to make with my kids is how bad I am at coming up with exciting and diverse recipes for our meals.

I'm a terrible cook.

I can make like 3 things, but only two of them taste good.

So, when my brother told me to check out Gojee (a recipe site that his friend Mike recently started), I got a little excited. But also a little skeptical because usually, looking at yummy recipes only makes me sad that
A. I don't have the ingredients to make it. AND
B. There is no one in my house that will make it for me.

This is not your typical recipe website, though. The great thing about it is that you type in the ingredients you have in your pantry and it tells you what you can make with it!

I typed in blue cheese and chicken and it showed me this, plus several other options. You can even type in something you crave and it will show you a bunch of mouth-watering images of food that you wish someone would make for you.

You're probably a better cook than I am, but this site is awesome for anyone who likes to eat. :)

Some books that come to mind when I think of cooking:

Five Little Monkeys Bake a Birthday Cake: (formerly titled Don't Wake Up Mama)
Five Little Monkeys Bake a Birthday Cake
Growing Vegetable Soup (Books for Young Readers)
Growing Vegetable Soup
Pancakes, Pancakes! (World of Eric Carle)
Pancakes, Pancakes!
The Apple Pie Tree
The Apple Pie Tree
The Apple Pie That Papa Baked
The Apple Pie That Papa Baked
How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World (Dragonfly Books)
How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World
Thunder Cake
Thunder Cake
(EVERY time it rains, Juliet asks me if we can make Thunder cake!)

What's your favorite recipe site or cooking/baking themed book?
