storybook-inspired fabric

June 24, 2011

I came across this Peter Pan fabric on pinterest the other day and thought it would be perfect for a little boy's booksling. (We have this version of Peter Pan)

This, of course, sent me on a wild hunt for other storybook-inspired fabrics.

Lizzy House has a new line of gorgeous fabrics based on the Arabian Nights.

I'm a huge fan of Lizzy House and even used her Castle Peeps fabric for Juliet and Lucia's bookslings.

Next, I found this fox fabric--not really inspired by a particular book, but foxes are such common storybook creatures (Alison Green's The Fox in the Dark comes to mind...) that I thought I should share it.

Lastly, I ended up with this scalloped bunting fabric--could it be any cuter? It reminds me of a party. The shapes also make me think of one of my favorite shape books Shapes by John J. Reiss.

It's amazing. Which reminds me, I need to write a post on John J. Reiss.... :)

So many wonderful books--so little time!
