last minute valentines day ideas for kids

valentine corsage
Happy Valentines Day! I have been meaning to make one of these felt rose barrettes from the Purl Bee for about a year now...finally started it last night only to realize I didn't have any pink or red embroidery thread. So, I used the hot glue gun and made this wrist corsage seen on Lily Cakes. (Found via Impress Your Kids!)

It almost didn't make its way into Juliet's valentine box because it is apparently extremely appealing to our cat Penny. I had to chase her down twice last night after she nabbed it and was batting it up and down the stairs in a fit of feline frenzy.

I thought I'd recap our valentines ideas from this year in case you missed any.
valentine garland
heart and acorn garland
family tree hearts
thumbprint heart family tree
paint chip valentines
paint chip valentines
snow valentine
contact paper snow valentine
i love you
snow valentines

And if you are still looking for more ideas, here's a list of what we did last year. I hope you have a special day with the ones you love!

Also, I know this is random.. but can you recommend any good weather themed books for preschoolers? .. See my post here:

Candice, I got the stamping kit from come and go on that site, so I'm not sure if it is still there. I've seen them in Hobby Lobby and other craft stores, too. Hope you find some! I'll have to think about the weather-themed books....
