One of my friends told me that her mom was looking through my blog for book gift ideas for her kids. I thought about it and although there are a ton of book suggestions on this blog, it might be kind of time consuming to dig through all my old posts. So, I thought I'd share a quick list of some books that I think any kid would love.

Maybe it'll make your Christmas shopping a little easier.

Alexander and the Wind-Up Mouse
We just discovered this one and LOVE it. Juliet was spellbound the first time we read it.

In a Blue Room
In a Blue Room by Jim Averbeck

Satisfy her princess obsession with something other than those disney girls! This contemporary retelling of the classic fairy tale is sure to delight your little princess--we just got this one a few days ago and Juliet has insisted on sleeping with it in her bed every night. It's that good, I'm telling you!

For kids who might still be inclined to tear the pages of a regular book, but have moved past baby books--here are some great stories for any preschoolers available in a board book format:

Caps for Sale Board Book: A Tale of a Peddler, Some Monkeys and Their Monkey Business (Reading Rainbow Books)

Great list. Anything by Richard Scarry and by Rosemary Wells would go on mine. Also the book that is going strong for the third year straight is Usborne First Experiences stories.
