new years craft ideas for kids

December 31, 2010

I'm kind of late with this post, but I was searching for fun ideas for Juliet and I to do together today and found these. We'll see what we actually end up doing, but maybe I'll be more on the ball for New Years next year.

How cute are these shoe decorations? I think we both would like to wear these! (Must find sequins for next year...)

My mom is from Venezuela, so we have always followed this grape eating New Year's Eve tradition. It's easy and fun and very kid friendly. (Since Juliet is 3, we're celebrating the New Year at around 7 pm...)

I love any excuse to make a garland.

Don't want to mess with glitter? Why not print this one, instead?

What a sunny way to start the new year! I think Juliet would want her flower hat to be pink...

If we were throwing a party, we'd be making these countdown goodie bags for sure.

I don't have the supplies for this plastic cup New Years Ball, but we are DEFINITELY making it next year! (Or maybe I'll run to the store and get the cups!)

What about you? What crafts, activities, or traditions do you do to celebrate the New Year?

What a great collection, I love the cup ball too. I am checking to see if I have enough cups right now!
