what juliet is reading to lucia these days...

Hello, Bugs! (Black and White Sparklers)Hello, Animals! (Black and White Sparklers)
Hello, Bugs!                       Hello, Animals!

Tiger Tales sent me a box of books to review a few weeks ago and I was delighted to find these two baby books inside.

Juliet has been reading them to Lucia for the past several days and while I can't say Lucia has shown any interest in them yet (she's only 4 weeks old!) Juliet can't get enough of them.

The illustrations are black and white and each page has a shiny foil element to it that is very fun to touch--the text is simple enough that Juliet has it memorized (when I say she has been "reading" it, I mean she is simply reciting the words she has memorized.)

I fully expect these to become favorites of Lucia's when she is able to sit up on her own, sit still and listen to a book with me or Juliet--maybe around 9 or 10 months? I can't remember when babies start enjoying books! Hopefully, soon though!

That is so sweet! How old is Juilet? ..My daughter (4 yrs old) reads to my son who is 7 months. He shows interest by: kicking, grabbing, and ultimately trying to eat the book!! Sometimes he'll lay there and just listen to Harmony and I speak about the books.. Such amazing moments.

I loved those type of baby books when my girls were little.

I can't wait to get my tiger tales box :) I get excited every time I see the UPS truck then sad when it skips our house.

Can't wait to read what other books they sent you

I think babies enjoy books at any age! They love being talked to, so they love being read to. Especially the rhythm, which is different than motherese/baby talk. Glad the Juliet is loving being a big sister!

It's so sweet to watch them together--makes me excited to see them get to know each other and become friends over the years.

My daughter is 10 months ... she loves to play with books. She doesn't always sit still to listen to me read though ... so I'll read to her while she's playing.

Love hearing how your daughters are interacting together :)

I think B enjoyed listening to books by about 7 months. T has enjoyed handling books for some time, but only has had the interest/patience to listen to a story in the last few weeksn! (He's 14 months)

That is so sweet! Mine started showing an interest in books about six months of age - just the time to start sitting, or if on tummy, easily able to lift up head and also handle the thick fat Harry Potter with bright cover lying on the bed :)
