vintage fall images

October 14, 2010

a fall afternoon
I love the illustrations of Eloise Wilkins and wanted to share a few beautiful fall images from her book The Wonders of the Seasons.
The Wonders of the Seasons (A Golden Book)
This is another book that Juliet does not like, but I do because of the illustrations. It's one of those "I want to rip out the pages and frame them" books.
All the seasons are featured in this book, but I think fall is my favorite.

Do you have a favorite fall book?

This looks so lovely....I will have to keep my eye out for a copy. Love it! I adore fall and adore children's books, so I have a long list of favorites. My all-time favorite is probably A Time to Keep by Tasha Tudor, which also features all of the months/seasons. I just so happended to feature another beautifully illustrated fall book on my little blog the other day, too!

"rip out all the pages and frame them"... ha, lol! That's kind of funny but I know what you mean. That front cover is beautiful, especially! I don't know if I have a favorite fall book. I"ll have to look through our books and think about it. That will be fun to do with the kids.

All of Eloise Wilkins books are beautiful to me--I am also a fan of Tasha Tudor! They have the same delicate feel to them!
