The children's book I secretly hope my kids will leave on the shelf at storytime each night: Anything Arthur, but most specifically Arthur's Underwear
by Marc Brown
My favorite book from inspiration, illustrations, and living room decoration: My Symphony
by Wm Henry Channing with illlustrations by Mary Englebreit
The children's book I have bought multiple copies of to tear out the illustrations and frame in our baby's nursery: Guess How Much I Love You
by Sam McBratney and (illustrations by Anita Jerome)
My favorite princess-y type book (of which I am not normally a fan): Not All Princesses Dress in Pink
by Jane Yolen. Although, the princess themed book most requested by our 4 year old princess is still Princess Baby
by Karen Katz
The book that makes me tear up because my husband bought it for our youngest son when he was born: You Are My I Love You
by Maryann Cusimano
The first book my oldest son memorized every word to so that he could "read" it to me: I Stink
by Kate McMullan
Katie, thanks so much for sharing your list! Even though you aren't exactly recommending Arthur's Underwear,
I can't help but be intrigued and want to read it myself! The cover makes me laugh!
I love that you used Guess How Much I Love You
as nursery decor--what a perfect choice! The illustrations are beautiful and it is definitely one of my favorites to read with Juliet.
Katie is expecting a baby boy around the same time I am expecting Lucia--you can read about her baby, pregnancy, and her faith in God in her series of posts entitled Beautifully Made.

Going to look up "Not All Princesses Dress in Pink."
I SOOOO agree about the Arthur comment. My daughter checked out the Arthur's underwear book at the library, insisted we read it every night for a week. I was so glad to return it, and I've refused to let her check it out again, even though she's asked! I already have to limit her to one Arthur book a visit, for my own sanity, otherwise there are times that she'd come home with nothing but them!
I'm going to look for the Princess book . . . thanks for the suggestions!
