To celebrate, I wanted to share some images from Squirrels by Brian Wildsmith--one of my favorite illustrators.
I should mention that Juliet will not permit me to read this book to her anymore--but when she was younger, she really enjoyed it. I'm not sure what caused the change, but it's no longer a favorite. I STILL love the illustrations, though.
Here's a lovely picture of a squirrels nest. Which reminds me of my nest...
Here are a few fun fall things I pulled out of our "fall box" which Ben was kind enough to dig out of the pile of junk in our garage. Juliet has had fun playing "picnic" with these items all week.
I've got this duck filled with plastic dollar store acorns,
Three mini pumpkins and some little fake dollar store gourds,
Some fake fall-ish looking flowers that Juliet has had fun arranging over and over again in a old plastic spray bottle...
And lastly, this wooden mushroom that we just picked up at Goodwill a few days ago.
How about you? How are you celebrating fall? Any favorite fall books to recommend?
