I mentioned Juliet's latest Aladdin/Jasmine obsession yesterday and in case you are wondering, yes, I am STILL Jasmine. (Don't be too jealous.)
I wanted to share a few pictures of a beautiful copy of Arabian Nights that I picked up a few months ago. The story of Aladdin and his magic lamp is in it and I look forward to reading it with Juliet when she is older.
I was drawn to the gorgeous illustrations found on the cover and throughout the book. Illustrated by Earle Goodenow, this book is a 1946 edition from the Illustrated Junior Library. If this book is any indication of the other books in the collection, I hope I find a lot more of these!
Do you have any of the books in this collection? I'd love to hear more about them if anyone does!
My posts might be a bit sparse this week as I am spending most of my evenings working on nursery projects like sewing pillow covers (that's what I did tonight!)
I'm also trying to add a few tabs to the top of my blog with lists of my crafts and favorite authors, illustrators, etc. Nothing too exciting, but I think it will make my blog more organized and easier to navigate. So, I apologize for the lack of books this week, but I'll be back with more next week!
