book-related crafts

July 12, 2010

I often find crafting inspiration from the books we read. And while I usually post a few crafts a week (and the books that go with them), I thought it would be helpful to put them all in one place. So here is the list--I'll be adding to it as we read more books and do more crafts!

lobster handprint craft {beach books}
thumbprint chicks {Old McDonald}
handprint garland {The Story of Martin Luther King Jr.}
handprint turkey {Setting the Turkey's Free}
handprint ostrich {Whiteblack the Penguin Sees the World}

Paper Folding

12 Days of Christmas Crafts {Brian Wildsmith's 12 Days of Christmas}
gift boxes {We Three Kings}

animal masks {The Mitten}

Ha! Can I link up my whole blog? ;)

I've been meaning to organize my posts and come up with link lists for ages. *sigh* You might have finally inspired me to do so!

You can definitely link your whole blog, Christianne! :) (And Zoe, you too, for that matter!)

It did take forever to do this post, but now that it's done, I think I can maintain it...(fingers crossed).

Your crafts are all very original and I love the categories. I linked up our latest book related craft, but, like you, we've worked on several.

This is a wonderful list. You're craft projects always look great so to see them listed this way was a treat.

Thanks, everyone! Christianne, you are right--this post is definitely a result of the nesting instinct! Everything seems unorganized and I must put it right before the baby gets here! I will be stopped dead in my tracks by a crying newborn very soon. :)
