We've checked out some good books at the library lately--I wanted to share a list of our favorites with you:

Tico and the Golden Wings
Tico and the Golden Wings by Leo Lionni

This is a really beautiful story about sharing what you have with others in need. Juliet loved it and asked it to be read to her over and over again. In fact, we turned it back into the library and the next time we went back, she requested that we check it out again! Maybe one I should add to our wishlist.

Kipper and Roly (Kipper)
Kipper and Roly by Mick Inkpen

Juliet has recently become fascinated with hamsters (her cousins have some), so this book was a fun way for her to further explore the little creatures without me having to actually buy her one.

Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon
Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon  by Patty Lovell

Molly Lou Melon is a tiny little girl--the smallest in her class. She has big front teeth and a few other things that make her different. But her grandma tells her to be herself and be proud of who she is--and she does just that. It's fun story about celebrating the beauty in all of us--despite our flaws and quirks.

What are your recent favorite library books?

Checked out Tico today since Juliet gave it good ratings and we loved it too!
Molly Lou Melon has been added to the list-- sounds really great.

My daughter's been reading chapter books like they're going out of style! Luckily she still loves picture books. Last night she read 7 to her little brother while I was gone and dad was busy.
Here's a few recent reads:
*Don't Worry Bear by Greg Foley
*The Best Mouse Cookie by Laura Numeroff
*Peanut Butter and Jellyfishes: A Very Silly Alphabet Book by Brian Cleary
*The Way Back Home by Oliver Jeffers

I really want to check out Tico, we love Leo Lionni books. Anna is currently on "Fancy Nancy" kick, so we have a couple of them from the library. And we started our readings in preparation for Independence Day.
