vintage thanksgiving children's book

Happy Thanksgiving!

I recently purchased a vintage book called My Favorite Book published in 1973 by Good Will Publishers. It has no author--it's just one of those books that you are supposed to place a picture of yourself in and write your name underneath.

A little girl signed her name Brenda and it was given to her Christmas 1980.

The illustrations are what caught my attention, and also this page about Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Day

We plow the fields and scatter seeds,
We sow and weed the land;
But it is fed and watered
By God's almighty hand.
He sends the snow in winter,
Then spring to swell the grain,
The summer wind and sunshine
With soft, refreshing rain.
Thus comes the golden harvest,
A gift from heaven above,
And so today we thank the Lord
For all His wondrous love.

You don't usually find stuff like this anymore, so I thought I would share it with you. Happy Thanksgiving!
