books + candy = math is fun!

November 4, 2009

Put your extra Halloween candy to good math use with this fun book: The M&M Counting Book by Barbara Barbieri McGrath

Each page has candy-based activity (children place specified amounts on top of the pages) from counting, to shapes, to adding and subtracting. Juliet likes the counting part, but that's about it. The rest of it is a little advanced for her, but she doesn't mind as long as she gets to EAT the candy when we are done counting. (She also sneaks a few when she thinks I am not looking!)
