I usually write posts about books we are currently reading--I pick the ones that both Juliet and I enjoy together. But today I thought I would mention the ones that we are NOT reading this week, but that Juliet is talking about ANYWAY. It must be good if a two-year old can remember it from a few weeks back and still be talking about it. Here's what I have heard her mention:
- She asked me, "Where's Louella Mae?" the other morning. Took me a few moments to figure out what she was talking about. (Louella Mae, She's Run Away! by Karen Beaumont Alarcon)
- She declared, "I'm Ella Sarah!" a few days ago. (Ella Sarah Gets Dressed by Margaret Chodos-Irvine)
- As she was coloring a picture of stars, she made a point of saying, "And the artist drew a star!" very dramatically EACH time she colored in a star. (Draw Me a Star by Eric Carle)
- We played a nice re-enactment of Hondo and Fabian one day this week, too. (Hondo and Fabian by Peter McCarty)
