Fireflies at Midnight, by Marilyn Singer, Illustrated by Ken Robbins

The poetry thing doesn't usually go over very well with juliet, but I thought I would give it a try anyway. This book has great illustrations, particularly intriguing to both juliet and myself. The poems are nice and short, but not short enough to entertain a two year old. We read the first two and then just looked and talked about the pictures in the rest of the pages. I think this would be really great for an older child, maybe ages 4 and up.

Poetry lost this round, but don't worry, she'll be back.
