read with us--here's a list!

April 21, 2009

It's hard to know what books are worth checking out at the library--especially, if you don't have time to wander the aisles aimlessly like we do. I thought it might be nice to give you a list of all the books we get from the library each week--the ones we thought were worth reading at least. That way, you have a starting point--I won't list any duds, I promise. That way you can read with us!

Most libraries allow you to "order" books online--just go on their website, request the books you want, and then you can stop by the front desk and pick them up when it is convenient to you.

Of course, not all libraries have the same selection of books, so some of the ones I list may not be at your local branch, but hopefully, you will be able to find some of them.

Usually, we pick out around 20 books each week. It depends on our luck, but usually they are all pretty good. This week, we found 21 good ones. Here they are in alphabetical order by author:

Slinky Malinki by Lynley Dodd (see it online via youtube here)
One Ted Falls Out of Bed by Julia Donaldson
You Are To Me by Rebecca Doughty
No Bows! by Shirley Smith Duke
Pest Fest by Julia Durango
Shoe Baby by Joyce Dunbar
The Perfect Nest by Catherine Friend
Yip! Snap! Yap! by Charles Fuge
My Dad by Charles Fuge
Elusive Moose by Joan Gannij
How Many Mice? by Michael Garland
Doing the Garden by Sarah Garland
One White Wishing Stone by Doris K. Gayzagian
Summer is Summer by Phillis and David Gershator
It's Spring by Linda Glaser
No Matter What by Debi Gliori
Good Morning, Chick by Mirra Ginsburg
Oh Where , Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone? by Iza Trapani
Row Row Row Your Boat by Iza Trapani
Shoo Fly! by Iza Trapani
Calicos Curious Kittens by Phyllis Limbacher Tildes

If you do happen to read any of the books we do, I'd love to hear what you think about them! Leave a comment or email me at
