Doing the Garden by Sarah Garland
We are pretty into gardening ourselves--just this spring we planted a huge vegetable garden in our backyard--so, this book was fun for us to read together. The illustrations are very detailed and interesting--lots to look at. The basic story is of a mom and her two kids who walk to the local garden shop, buy some plants, come home, plant them, and then take a nap on the kitchen floor. Although, we have planted flowers, vegetables, and sown some wildflower seeds together, juliet was not overly excited by seeing the characters in the book do those things. The thing she liked most of all and never failed to point out was the dog burying a bone in the ground.
