White is for Blueberry by George Shannon, Illustrated by Laura Dronzek
This book was interesting because it took a new look at the colors of things. It starts out with a picture of a black crow and the text, "Pink is for crow..." On the next page is a picture of a nest with four pink, baby crows and the words, "when it has just hatched from its egg." It goes through several other colors and ends with "it all depends on when we look...how near or far...outside or in." I'm not sure that juliet knew that people usually think of crows being black, but we had fun reading it just the same.
